Terms of Use

Effective date: July 7, 2026 · TalliQ Inc. · Contact: support@spedzen.com

These terms govern your use of the SpedZen Chrome extension and this website, provided by TalliQ Inc. ("TalliQ", "we"). By installing or using SpedZen, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use SpedZen.

The short version

SpedZen is a professional tool that produces drafts — you are the educator and decision-maker, and you review everything before it's used. You bring your own Anthropic (Claude) key and pay Anthropic directly. We collect no student data (see the Privacy Policy).

1. What SpedZen is

SpedZen is an assistive tool for special education teachers that generates differentiated assignments, curriculum-based Progress Checks, progress-report drafts, and due-process document drafts from the IEP data on the pages you are working in. It runs on Anthropic's Claude models using an API key you provide; Anthropic bills you directly for usage under Anthropic's own terms.

2. You review everything — SpedZen produces drafts

Everything SpedZen generates is a draft to be reviewed by a qualified educator before use. SpedZen does not make educational, clinical, eligibility, placement, or legal determinations, and its output is not legal advice or a guarantee of compliance with IDEA, FERPA, Section 504, state regulations, or district policy. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and approving all content, and for all decisions made using it. SpedZen never writes into your systems of record on its own — you copy, review, and paste.

3. License

Subject to these terms and your valid purchase, TalliQ grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use SpedZen for your own professional work. Your license is for your use as an individual educator; please don't share, resell, or sublicense it. Purchases are governed by the terms of the marketplace where you bought them (e.g., Teachers Pay Teachers or the Chrome Web Store).

4. Acceptable use

Use SpedZen lawfully and professionally. Don't attempt to use it to expose student personally identifiable information to the AI or any third party, to reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, or to violate the terms of Anthropic, your school, or your district. You are responsible for complying with your employer's and district's data and technology policies.

5. Third-party services

SpedZen relies on Anthropic (Claude) for generation and, only if you choose to configure it, on your own Google Firebase project for optional hosted delivery. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. TalliQ is not responsible for third-party services you connect.

6. No warranty

SpedZen is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong; that is why you review it. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TalliQ will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decisions made or actions taken in reliance on SpedZen's output. Our total liability for any claim relating to SpedZen will not exceed the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves, with the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
